Multi Skills Tutor
Temporary | Contract
Location: the North West
Start date: August 2026
Are you a skilled tradesperson looking to pass on what you know to the next generation?
About the Role
A further education provider in the North West is looking for a Multi Skills Tutor to deliver practical and theoretical training across a range of trade areas. You'll support learners as they build the hands-on skills and underpinning knowledge they need to progress into employment.
You'll plan and deliver engaging sessions in both the workshop and the classroom, assess learner work, and keep track of progress so that no one falls behind.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering practical and theoretical training across multi-skilled trade areas.
- Planning and adapting sessions to meet the needs of individual learners.
- Assessing learners' knowledge and practical skills and marking work accurately.
- Monitoring attendance, engagement and achievement, and stepping in early where learners need support.
- Contributing to curriculum development and the production of learning resources.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 qualification in a relevant trade area
- Strong practical experience across multi-skilled trades
- Ability to plan, deliver and assess training for groups of learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching or assessing qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience of delivering training in a further education or work-based learning setting
