Lecturer – Multi-Skills Construction Location: Buckinghamshire Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Full Time – 37 hours per week Salary: £37,200 – £41,880 per annum
The Role
A leading further education provider in Buckinghamshire is seeking an experienced Multi-Skills Construction Lecturer to join its Construction department.
This role is ideal for an industry professional looking to move into education and support the next generation of construction learners. You will deliver engaging practical and theory sessions while helping students develop confidence, employability skills, and progression opportunities within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching across multi-skills construction programmes
- Plan and develop engaging lessons for diverse learner groups
- Support learners to achieve their full potential through practical and classroom-based teaching
- Promote high standards of student progress, ambition, and achievement
- Work creatively to overcome barriers to learning
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
- Maintain safe and inclusive workshop and classroom environments
- Support student progression into employment or further study
What We're Looking For
- Strong construction industry experience
- Specialism in one construction trade with competence across other trade areas
- Passion for teaching and supporting learners
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to engage and motivate learners from a range of backgrounds
- Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
- Experience within further education or apprenticeship training
