Multi Skilled Tutor
Temporary | Contract
Location: the North West
Start date: September 2026
Are you a skilled tradesperson looking to pass on what you know to the next generation?
About the Role
A further education provider in the North West is looking for a Multi Skilled Tutor to deliver practical and theoretical training across a range of trade areas. You'll work with learners as they build the hands-on skills and underpinning knowledge they need to progress into employment.
You'll plan and deliver engaging sessions in both the workshop and the classroom, assess learner work, and track progress so that no one falls behind.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering practical and theoretical training across multi-skilled trade areas.
- Planning and adapting sessions to meet the needs of individual learners.
- Assessing learners' knowledge and practical skills and marking work accurately.
- Monitoring attendance, engagement and achievement, and stepping in early where learners need support.
- Contributing to curriculum development and the production of learning resources.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 qualification in a relevant trade area
- Strong practical industry background
- Ability to motivate and support learners to achieve
- Good communication and organisational skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- Teaching qualification such as AET or PTLLS
- Assessing qualification such as TAQA or CAVA
- Experience of teaching or training in further education or work-based learning
