Are you an experienced motor vehicle professional looking to inspire the next generation of technicians? No teaching qualification? No problem, full training and support is available to help you become a qualified teacher.
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider to deliver motor vehicle programmes, bringing your hands-on trade experience into the classroom and workshop to help learners build the practical skills and knowledge they need for a career in the sector.

- Maintaining a safe, well-organised workshop environment in line with health and safety requirements.
- Keeping up to date with developments in automotive technology and incorporating these into teaching.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Substantial industry experience in motor vehicle maintenance, repair or a related trade
- A relevant vocational qualification in motor vehicle studies (such as a Level 3 qualification)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and engage learners
- A commitment to safe working practices in a workshop environment
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification (such as a PGCE, DET or PTLLS), or a willingness to work towards one
- Experience assessing learners against vocational standards
- Up-to-date knowledge of current automotive technology and industry practice
Drive the Next Generation Forward
If you're ready to share your trade expertise and help shape the next generation of motor vehicle technicians, we'd love to hear from you.
