Start date: September 2026
We are currently recruiting for a Media Studies Teacher to join a school from the start of the autumn term.
This is a good opportunity for a teacher who enjoys bringing creative, practical subject content to life and supporting students to produce work they're proud of.
About the Role
You'll plan and deliver engaging Media Studies lessons across the key stages offered, helping students build both the critical understanding and the practical skills the subject demands.
You'll monitor progress, assess work in line with the school's policies, and work alongside colleagues in the wider teaching team to maintain high standards of achievement and behaviour.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering Media Studies lessons that engage and challenge students.
- Assessing, marking and tracking student progress, and using that information to shape your teaching.
- Preparing students for external examinations where applicable.
- Managing behaviour and creating a positive, purposeful classroom environment.
- Contributing to the wider work of the department and the school.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
- A degree or strong subject knowledge in Media Studies or a closely related field
- Experience of teaching Media Studies in a secondary setting
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Desirable (but not essential):
