Maths Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the Wales
Start date: September 2026
Are you a confident mathematician ready to help learners build the numeracy skills they need for work, life and further study?
About the Role
An education provider in the Wales is looking for a Maths Lecturer to join its teaching team. You'll deliver engaging, accessible sessions to learners of mixed abilities, supporting those who are working towards their maths qualification alongside their wider study programme.
You'll work with learners at a range of levels, tracking their progress and building the confidence of those who have gaps in their knowledge.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering maths lessons to learners of differing abilities.
- Preparing schemes of work, lesson resources and assessments.
- Marking learners' work and providing clear, timely feedback.
- Monitoring progress and supporting learners to achieve their qualification.
- Maintaining accurate records in line with awarding body requirements.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A maths-specific qualification or a strong numeracy background
- Experience teaching maths, or the subject knowledge and confidence to do so
- Ability to adapt your teaching to varied learning needs
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification such as QTS, QTLS, PGCE, CertEd or Level 5 DET
- Experience of working in further education
