Lecturer in Health and Social Care

Location: South West England

Salary: £26,000 – £32,000 per annum

Contract Type: Full-time (37 hours per week, all year round)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Lecturer to deliver engaging lessons across Levels 1, 2, and 3, helping learners develop the skills, confidence, and knowledge they need to succeed. As part of our supportive team, you will deliver high-quality teaching that brings Health and Social Care to life using our outstanding, industry-standard facilities—including a fully equipped hospital ward, an Anatomage Table, and realistic home care environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching & Learning: Plan and deliver engaging, innovative, and inclusive lessons across Levels 1 to 3.
  • Assessment & Tracking: Monitor learner progress, set clear targets, and provide constructive feedback and support to enable every student to reach their potential.
  • Resource Development: Create high-quality curriculum resources and utilise modern classroom technology to enhance learning.
  • Curriculum Support: Contribute to curriculum development, student recruitment, enrichment activities, and employer engagement.
  • Inclusion & Standards: Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of your work while maintaining high standards for student success.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: Teaching or training experience in Health and Social Care (or relevant, substantial industry experience with a passion for developing learners).
  • Qualifications: A relevant degree alongside a recognised teaching qualification (or a willingness to work towards one).
  • Skills: Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Technical Aptitude: Confident using learning technology to create dynamic classroom experiences.
  • Attributes: A collaborative team player with a positive, resilient, and flexible approach.
