Lecturer in Creative Media
Temporary
Location: the East of England
Start date: September 2026
Are you a creative media professional ready to pass your skills on to the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join the creative media team at a further education provider, delivering engaging lessons across a range of creative media programmes and supporting learners to build the practical and technical skills they need for further study and employment.
You'll plan and deliver sessions, assess learner work and track progress, giving the feedback and encouragement that keeps learners moving forward. You'll also work alongside colleagues to keep the curriculum current and relevant to the industry.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging practical and theory sessions across a range of creative media programmes.
- Planning schemes of work, resources and assessments that support achievement and progression.
- Assessing learner work, giving timely feedback and monitoring progress.
- Supporting learners academically and pastorally throughout their studies.
- Maintaining accurate records of attendance, achievement and outcomes.
- Contributing to curriculum development and quality improvement activities.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a creative media discipline
- Industry or subject knowledge across creative media
- Experience of teaching, assessing or instructing learners, or a willingness to work towards a teaching qualification
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Experience of delivering within further education
