Job Description
Lecturer in Creative Media
Temporary
Location: the East of England
Start date: 20 August 2026
Are you an experienced creative media professional looking to pass your skills on to the next generation?
About the role
You'll design, plan, deliver and assess engaging creative media programmes for a further education provider, combining practical hands-on sessions with the underpinning theory learners need to succeed.
Working across a range of levels, you'll bring your industry experience into the classroom and studio, helping learners build the knowledge, skills and confidence that employers value. You'll create a safe and supportive learning environment, monitor learner progress and adapt your teaching to meet the needs of a diverse group of learners.
If you come from industry rather than teaching, that's welcome. Our client offers support to help you move into education and develop as a lecturer.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, planning, delivering and assessing creative media programmes across a range of levels.
- Delivering a mix of practical sessions and underpinning theory.
- Monitoring learner progress and providing timely feedback.
- Creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.

- Industry experience in creative media
- Strong practical and technical knowledge relevant to the subject
- Enthusiasm for supporting and motivating learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience of teaching, assessing or instructing learners
If you're ready to bring your creative media experience into the classroom, we'd love to hear from you.
What's on Offer
- Support to move into education and develop as a lecturer
