Do you have a Level 3 qualification or higher in a Health or Science related subject, and are you looking for the next step in your career? We are seeking to recruit an experienced, highly motivated and forward-thinking individual as a Lecturer – Health and Science.

About the Role

Working with a further education provider in the South East, you'll be responsible for teaching and supporting students across a range of Health and Science programmes, helping them develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to progress into higher education or employment.

You'll bring experience of delivering biology, chemistry and physics up to Level 2, and you'll play an active role in maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, assessment and student experience across the Health and Science provision.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and preparing innovative schemes of work, lesson plans and assessment schedules that engage and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
• Carrying out practical experiments linked to the specification, to support learners to achieve their qualification.
• Planning and delivering highly effective learning programmes for diverse groups of learners in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment, ensuring students are challenged and inspired to succeed.
• Supporting students' academic, personal and professional development, working creatively to overcome individual barriers to learning both within and outside of the classroom.
• Bringing relevant vocational or industry knowledge to enhance teaching and learning, ensuring programmes remain current, engaging and aligned with sector expectations.
• Monitoring student progress effectively and providing timely feedback and interventions to support achievement, retention and progression.
• Contributing to the continued development of the curriculum.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• A Level 3 qualification or higher in a Health or Science related subject
• Experience of delivering biology, chemistry and physics up to Level 2
• The ability to plan, prepare and deliver innovative and engaging learning programmes
• A commitment to supporting the academic, personal and professional development of learners

Desirable (but not essential):

• Relevant vocational or industry knowledge to enhance teaching and learning
