IT Lecturer
Temporary
Location: the East of England
Start date: 7 September 2026
Are you an IT professional ready to pass your skills on to the next generation of technicians and developers?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider to deliver high-quality teaching across IT and computing programmes, helping learners build the technical knowledge and practical skills employers are looking for.
You'll plan and prepare sessions, assess learners' work and track their progress, working as part of a team of industry professionals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging theory and practical sessions across IT and computing courses.
- Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities to support learner progression and achievement.
- Contributing to curriculum development so that content reflects current industry standards.
- Supporting learners in developing their technical skills and employability prospects.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification or equivalent in IT or a related discipline
- Industry experience in an IT or technology role
- Strong practical and technical knowledge
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience of teaching, assessing or instructing learners
