Housing Apprenticeship Trainer Assessor
Temporary | Contract
Location: London
Start date: 8 September 2026
Are you an experienced housing professional looking to pass your knowledge on to the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider to train and assess apprentices working towards their housing qualifications, combining your industry background with practical, workplace-based support.
You'll manage a caseload of apprentices, delivering training sessions, carrying out workplace visits and assessments, and tracking progress through to achievement. You'll also work closely with employers to make sure each apprentice gets a high-quality learning experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering training sessions aligned to housing apprenticeship standards.
- Managing a caseload of apprentices, including one-to-one coaching and progress reviews.
- Carrying out workplace visits to assess apprentice competence in their work setting.
- Gathering and marking portfolio evidence in line with awarding body requirements.
- Maintaining accurate records of attendance, progress and achievement.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with employers.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Relevant occupational experience in housing
- A Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a related discipline
- Confident communication with learners, colleagues and employers
Desirable (but not essential):
- An assessing qualification and previous assessing experience
- Experience of delivering apprenticeship programmes
