Health & Social Care CM
Temporary
Location: the West Midlands
Start date: 11 September 2026
Are you an experienced further education curriculum leader with a background in health and social care?
About the Role
As Curriculum Manager, you'll take responsibility for the leadership and performance of the health and social care curriculum area at a further education provider in the West Midlands, making sure teaching, learning and learner outcomes are of a consistently high standard.
You'll lead and support a team of teaching staff, oversee curriculum planning and delivery, and work closely with senior leaders to drive improvement across the area.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing health and social care teaching staff.
- Overseeing curriculum delivery, planning and quality.
- Monitoring learner attendance, progress, achievement and retention.
- Supporting staff performance and development.
- Maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
- Contributing to curriculum improvement planning and the day-to-day running of the area.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Previous curriculum management or leadership experience within further education
- A professional background in health and social care
- Experience managing programmes and teaching teams
- Strong understanding of further education curriculum delivery and quality
- Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience of early years curriculum areas
- A teaching qualification
