Job Title: Health & Care Trainer / Tutor (Multi-Sector Specialism)
Department: Adult & Community Learning
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £25,000 – £35,000 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Benefits: 30 days annual leave + statutory Bank Holidays, Pension Scheme
About the Role
Are you passionate about helping others develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to succeed? We are seeking an inspiring and knowledgeable Trainer / Tutor to deliver high-quality learning across health, social care, wellbeing, and employability programmes. You will create an inclusive, supportive environment, helping learners achieve their goals while gaining the skills demanded by today's workforce. Working closely with learners, employers, and colleagues, you will ensure training remains relevant, responsive to industry needs, and aligned with current professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging learning programmes that meet qualification requirements and quality standards.
- Develop tailored teaching, learning, and assessment plans to support individual learner success.
- Provide clear information, advice, and guidance to help learners meet their agreed learning aims and SMART objectives.
- Deliver training and assessment across Health & Care programmes and related vocational areas aligned with your occupational expertise.
- Create a positive, safe, and purposeful learning environment where learners feel valued and motivated.
- Monitor learner progress, attendance, and key performance indicators to drive programme quality.
- Work collaboratively with employers and key stakeholders to ensure courses align with sector workforce needs.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Relevant industry qualification at Level 3 or above; GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4+ (or equivalent); Teaching qualification (or a willingness to achieve one upon appointment). Assessor or IQA/Verifier awards are desirable.
- Experience: Current, relevant industry experience within the health and care sector. Prior experience in teaching, training, or assessing is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge & Skills: Up-to-date knowledge of health and social care legislation, standards, and best practice. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate diverse cohorts of adult learners.
