Health and Social Care Lecturer
Temporary
Location: the North West
Start date: November 2026
Are you a health and social care professional ready to pass your experience on to the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the North West, delivering health and social care to learners working towards their qualifications. You'll bring your sector experience into the classroom, helping learners build the knowledge, practical understanding and confidence they need to progress into the workforce.
You'll plan and deliver engaging sessions, assess learners' work and track their progress, adapting your teaching so that learners across a range of abilities are supported and challenged.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging health and social care lessons.
- Adapting teaching and resources to meet individual learner needs.
- Marking work and giving clear, constructive feedback.
- Monitoring learner progress and supporting learners to achieve their qualifications.
- Working alongside colleagues in the wider curriculum team.
- Maintaining a positive and well-managed learning environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A relevant qualification in health and social care
- Experience gained in the health or social care sector
- The ability to motivate and engage learners of mixed ability
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching or assessing qualification
- Previous experience delivering in a further education setting
