Health and Social Care Lecturer
Temporary
Location: London
Start date: 15 October 2026
Are you an experienced health and social care professional looking to pass on your knowledge to the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in London and the surrounding area, delivering health and social care teaching across classroom and practical settings. You'll plan sessions that build the knowledge, skills and professional behaviours learners need to progress into employment or further study.
You'll assess learner progress, give constructive feedback and help maintain a supportive, inclusive learning environment that reflects current sector practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging health and social care lessons.
- Teaching learners across a range of levels.
- Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Maintaining accurate learner records.
- Embedding English and maths within vocational learning.
- Contributing to high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 qualification in health and social care (or equivalent)
- Experience within the health or social care sector
- Good communication and organisational skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed or DET
- Previous experience of teaching, training or assessing in a further education setting
