Are you an experienced Design and Technology teacher ready to take on curriculum leadership?

We are recruiting a Head of DT to lead the Design and Technology curriculum within a school.

About the Role

You'll take responsibility for the leadership, planning and quality of DT across the school, ensuring consistently strong teaching, learning and outcomes for pupils.

Alongside your leadership duties, you'll teach DT across the age and ability range.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and managing the DT curriculum and its delivery.
• Teaching DT across the age and ability range.
• Supporting, mentoring and developing teaching staff within the subject area.
• Monitoring pupil progress, attainment and achievement.
• Ensuring high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
• Contributing to subject improvement planning and raising standards.
• Working closely with senior leaders and colleagues in other subject areas.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Qualified Teacher Status
• Experience of teaching Design and Technology
• Strong subject knowledge across the DT curriculum
• The confidence to take ownership of a subject area and lead a team

Desirable (but not essential):

• Previous experience as a curriculum or subject leader
