Job Description

Games & Media Lecturer

Temporary

Location: the South East

Start date: September 2026

Are you a games or media professional looking to pass your skills on to the next generation of creatives?

About the Role

As a Games & Media Lecturer, you'll deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and assessment across games and media programmes at a further education provider, helping learners build the creative and technical skills they need to progress in the industry.

Working closely with colleagues in the team, you'll act as a personal tutor, promote strong attendance and contribute to the planning, development and review of your subject area.

If you don't yet hold a teaching qualification, this could still be the role for you. Our client welcomes applications from industry professionals and offers support to help you move into teaching.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering effective teaching and assessment across games and media programmes.
  • Supporting learners to achieve and progress, both in the classroom and through tutorial support.
  • Assessing, reviewing and tracking learner progress and maintaining accurate records.
  • Contributing to curriculum planning, development and review within your subject area.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • A relevant qualification in games, media or a related creative field
  • Occupational experience in the games or media industry
  • Strong communication and IT skills
  • The ability to engage, motivate and support learners

Desirable (but not essential):

  • A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
  • Previous experience teaching or assessing in a further education setting

If you're ready to bring your industry experience into the classroom, we'd love to hear from you.

What's on Offer

  • Support to gain teaching qualification if not already held
