English Teacher
Temporary | Contract
Start date: October 2026
About the Role
We're recruiting an English Teacher to join a further education provider, delivering an engaging English curriculum that helps every learner make excellent progress.
You'll plan and deliver high-quality lessons, bring up-to-date subject knowledge into the classroom, and work closely with colleagues to support strong outcomes for all the students you teach.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and managing the effective delivery of an outstanding English curriculum.
- Planning and teaching engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Monitoring and assessing progress, and providing clear feedback.
- Maintaining a positive, well-managed classroom environment.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the team.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Wide and up-to-date English subject knowledge
- Outstanding interpersonal and classroom management skills
- A genuine commitment to the success of every learner you teach
- A collaborative approach and willingness to go the extra mile
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience teaching English within the secondary school or post-16 college sector
