Are you an English teacher with strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for helping young people succeed?

About the Role

A school is looking for a committed English teacher to join their department and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that support learners to make real progress.

You'll teach across your specialism, assess and track student achievement, and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment alongside a supportive team of colleagues.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging English lessons that support student progress and achievement.
• Differentiating your teaching to meet the needs of mixed-ability learners.
• Assessing learner progress and providing clear, constructive feedback.
• Supporting learners with exam preparation and building their confidence.
• Contributing to curriculum planning and the wider work of the department.
• Maintaining a safe, inclusive and well-managed classroom.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• A relevant degree and/or a recognised teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS or PGCE)
• Strong subject knowledge in English
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable (but not essential):

• Experience teaching GCSE English
• Experience supporting resit or mixed-ability learners
