Engineering Technician
Temporary

Are you an engineering professional who would enjoy passing your practical knowledge on to learners starting out in the trade?
About the Role
An education provider is looking for an Engineering Technician to support the delivery of practical engineering teaching. You'll work alongside lecturers in workshop and classroom settings, making sure equipment, materials and resources are ready for each session.
You'll also be on hand during practical sessions, helping learners build their skills safely and with confidence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing equipment, materials and learning resources for practical sessions.
- Maintaining tools, machinery and workshop equipment in safe working order.
- Supporting learners during practical activities and skills development.
- Managing stock and consumables for the workshop.
- Ensuring health and safety requirements are met at all times.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A relevant engineering qualification
- Practical industry experience in an engineering discipline
- A sound understanding of workshop health and safety
- Enthusiasm for supporting and encouraging learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous experience working in an education or training environment
