About the Role

As an Engineering Lecturer with a further education provider, you'll deliver practical, engaging teaching to learners working towards their engineering qualifications. You'll combine theory with hands-on workshop practice, helping learners build the technical skills, industry knowledge and confidence they need to progress.

You'll plan your sessions, assess progress and support learners through their programmes, working alongside colleagues from the industry.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering engineering theory and practical sessions to learners across a range of levels.
• Planning and preparing lessons, learning materials and workshop activities.
• Assessing and monitoring learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
• Maintaining a safe, well-organised workshop and classroom environment.
• Supporting learners to develop the technical and employability skills they need for their next steps.
• Contributing to curriculum development and quality improvement.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• A relevant vocational qualification in engineering or a related discipline
• Demonstrable practical experience gained in the engineering industry
• The ability to engage and motivate learners of differing abilities

Desirable (but not essential):

• A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
• Previous experience of teaching, assessing or mentoring in a workshop or classroom setting
