About the Role
A leading Further Education provider in North London is seeking a dedicated and experienced Electrical Apprenticeship Onsite Assessor to join its dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in evaluating, supporting, and guiding electrical apprentices as they develop essential real-world trade skills. Working across on-site environments and campus facilities, you will help shape the next generation of electrical professionals by ensuring high standards of practical competency and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct workplace assessments and progress reviews for electrical apprentices in line with national standards.
Provide constructive feedback, guidance, and continuous support to learners to ensure successful completion of their apprenticeship framework.
Collaborate closely with employers, teaching staff, and internal quality assurers to monitor learner development and maintain high educational standards.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date learner records, tracking portfolios and evidence of competence efficiently.
Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment across all training and assessment activities.
Requirements & Experience
Practical Experience: A minimum of 3 years of hands-on working experience within the electrical industry.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of current electrical regulations, workplace safety, and trade practices.
Communication & Support: Clear, professional communication skills with the ability to mentor and engage learners from diverse backgrounds.
Organization: Strong personal management skills to handle learner caseloads, site visits, and documentation accurately.
Qualifications: Relevant technical electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent trade credentials); formal assessor awards (such as CAVA, TAQA, or A1) or a willingness to work towards them are highly desirable.
