Electrical Installation Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the North West
Start date: September 2026
Are you an experienced electrician looking to pass your trade knowledge on to the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the North West to deliver teaching across a range of electrical qualifications. Working alongside a team of industry professionals, you'll support learners and working electricians as they build their technical competence and progress in their careers.
You'll teach on the following courses:
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (C&G 2382-22)
- Inspection and Testing (C&G 2391-52)
- In Service Equipment, PAT (C&G 2377-77)
Upskilling and training will be provided for a suitable candidate to deliver Electric Vehicles (C&G 2921-31).
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging and high-quality teaching across electrical installation courses.
- Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities that support learner progression and achievement.
- Keeping course content aligned with current industry standards and regulations.
- Supporting learners in developing their technical skills and employability prospects.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 qualification or equivalent in electrical installation
- Occupational competence and relevant industry experience
- Current knowledge of the 18th Edition wiring regulations
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- C&G 2391 Inspection and Testing
- Previous experience of teaching or assessing in further education
