Electrical / Electronics Engineering Lecturer Location: Yorkshire Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: £31,000 – £35,000

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join a leading college in Yorkshire as an Electrical / Electronics Engineering Lecturer, with full support provided for those transitioning from industry into education.
About the Role
This role is ideal for a dynamic and motivated individual with a passion for engineering and developing future talent. Whether you're already teaching or coming straight from industry, you will be supported every step of the way with a fully funded teaching qualification.
You will deliver high-quality teaching across a range of programmes and awarding bodies, working with learners from Level 1 through to Level 3.
Key Areas of Delivery
- PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers)
- Electrical and Electronic Principles
- Analogue Electronics
- Fault Diagnosis
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across Electrical/Electronics Engineering programmes
- Teach and support learners from Level 1 to Level 3
- Adapt delivery to suit a range of awarding bodies and learner needs
- Assess student work regularly, tracking progress and providing constructive feedback
- Contribute to the development and sharing of curriculum resources
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, industry partners, and the wider community
- Support student success, progression, and employability outcomes
Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering (or closely related discipline)
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, electrical and electronic principles, analogue electronics, and fault diagnosis
- Industry experience (teaching experience desirable but not essential)
- Passion for education and developing the next generation of engineers
- Strong communication and organisational skills
