Are you an electrical and electronics professional who enjoys helping others build their technical skills?

About the Role

A further education provider in the West Midlands is looking for someone to provide electrical and electronics engineering support to learners and teaching staff.

You'll work alongside lecturers in workshops and classrooms, giving learners practical, hands-on help as they develop the knowledge and skills needed to progress within the engineering sector. You'll also help keep equipment, materials and work areas ready, safe and well organised.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting learners with practical and theory activities across electrical and electronics engineering.
• Assisting lecturers with the preparation and delivery of sessions.
• Preparing equipment, materials and resources for practical workshop activities.
• Maintaining a safe, tidy and effective workshop and classroom environment.
• Helping learners build confidence, technical skills and independence.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• A Level 3 qualification in electrical or electronic engineering, or equivalent
• Practical experience within the electrical and electronics sector
• A genuine interest in supporting and developing learners

Desirable (but not essential):

• Experience of working in a further education or training environment
• A recognised teaching, training or assessing qualification
