Early Years Lecturer
Temporary
Location: the South East
Start date: September 2026
Are you an experienced early years professional ready to pass your knowledge on to the next generation of practitioners?
About the Role
As an Early Years Lecturer, you'll deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and assessment across early years programmes at a further education provider, helping learners build the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to progress into the sector.
Working closely with colleagues in the team, you'll act as a personal tutor, promote strong attendance and contribute to the planning, development and review of your subject area.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering effective teaching and assessment across early years programmes.
- Supporting learners to achieve and progress, both in the classroom and through tutorial support.
- Assessing, reviewing and tracking learner progress and maintaining accurate records.
- Contributing to curriculum planning, development and review within your subject area.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A relevant qualification in early years or a related field
- Occupational experience in early years education and care
- The ability to engage, motivate and support learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Previous experience of teaching or assessing in further education
