Deputy Head of Digital
Permanent
Location: the East of England
Salary: £45,000 + per annum
About the Role
You'll play a leading role in shaping and delivering the digital strategy of a further education provider, working alongside the Head of Digital to drive change across the organisation.
In this role you'll help set direction, support and develop a team, and make sure digital services run reliably and continue to improve. You'll balance day-to-day operational delivery with longer-term planning, keeping the needs of staff and learners at the centre of what you do.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Head of Digital in developing and delivering the digital strategy.
- Leading, supporting and developing members of the digital team.
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of digital services and systems.
- Managing digital projects from planning through to delivery.
- Working with colleagues across the organisation to understand and meet their needs.
- Deputising for the Head of Digital where required.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience in a senior or leadership role within a digital, IT or technology function
- Strong understanding of digital systems, services and project delivery
- The ability to lead, motivate and develop a team
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience working within a further education or wider education setting
- A relevant professional qualification in a digital or technology discipline
