Job Description
Job Title – Prison Deputy Education Manager Salary – Up to £43,014 Location – Maidstone Contract Type - Permanent Hours - 37.5 hours a week

Role Responsibilities
We are seeking a creative and inspiring leader who can:
- Collaborate with the Education Manager to define the strategic vision, priorities, and direction of the Department.
- Provide leadership and coordination for curriculum development and innovation within a designated area of the Department's provision.
- Work in partnership with the Education Manager to deliver an innovative, engaging, and flexible curriculum that responds effectively to students' needs, with quality at its core.
- Champion learner achievement by driving high retention, attainment, and overall student success.
- Lead sustained quality improvement initiatives, with a strong focus on teaching, learning, and assessment, ensuring robust implementation of quality assurance processes and effective use of performance data.
- Plan, oversee, and evaluate departmental activities to meet and exceed College targets, including recruitment, achievement, funding, and overall contribution.
- Support and manage staff development and performance effectively, including induction, probation, Development and Appraisal Reviews (DARs), and performance management processes where appropriate.
- A degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. QTLS, where appropriate) and/or an Assessor/Verifier Award.
- A recognised Leadership and Management qualification, or a willingness to work towards one through the College's Leadership and Management Apprenticeship Programme.
- Demonstrable experience in educational management.
