Job Description
Creative Media Lecturer
Temporary
Location: the East of England
Start date: 6 October 2026
Are you an experienced creative media professional looking to inspire the next generation of content creators and designers?
About the role
You'll design, plan, deliver and assess engaging creative media programmes for a further education provider, combining practical studio work with the underpinning theory learners need to succeed. Working across a range of levels, you'll bring your industry experience into the classroom, helping learners build the knowledge and skills that employers value.
You'll create a positive and supportive learning environment, monitor learner progress and adapt your teaching to meet the needs of a diverse group of learners. Working closely with colleagues, you'll help keep the curriculum current and relevant to the sector.
If you come from industry rather than teaching, that's welcome. Our client offers support to help you move into education and develop as a lecturer.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, planning, delivering and assessing creative media programmes across a range of levels.
- Delivering a mix of practical sessions and underpinning theory.
- Assessing learner work fairly and accurately, and giving clear, constructive feedback.
- Monitoring learner progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
- Contributing to curriculum development so content reflects current industry standards.
What we're looking for
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a creative media discipline
- Industry experience in creative media
- Strong practical and technical knowledge of the subject
- Enthusiasm for supporting and motivating learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- An assessor qualification
- Previous experience of teaching, assessing or instructing learners
Inspire the next generation of creative talent
If you're ready to bring your industry experience into the classroom, we'd love to hear from you.
