We are seeking an experienced and passionate Course Leader and Senior Lecturer in Coaching & Performance Management to join a forward thinking Higher Education provider in London. This is an exciting opportunity for an academic leader with expertise in coaching, performance, sport science, psychology, esports performance, or related applied disciplines to shape and lead an innovative, industry aligned programme.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic and operational management of the Coaching & Performance Management programmes.
• Deliver engaging and high quality teaching across coaching, performance management, athlete development, psychology, analytics, and related subjects.
• Develop innovative, industry aligned curriculum content and applied learning opportunities.
• Supervise student projects, applied coaching practice, and performance analysis work.
• Ensure compliance with academic regulations, quality assurance processes, and external benchmarks.
• Lead programme reviews, validation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support student engagement, retention, progression, and employability outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with coaching organisations, esports and sport clubs, analytics providers, and industry professionals.
• Lead programme team meetings and coordinate academic delivery across the programme area.
• Coach, mentor, and support the professional development of academic staff.
• Contribute to research, scholarly activity, and industry focused projects relevant to coaching and performance management.
• Represent the programme at recruitment events, open days, and external engagement activities.

Essential Requirements

• Proven programme leadership experience within Higher Education or a professional training environment.
• Strong academic or professional background in coaching, performance management, sport science, esports performance, psychology, or related disciplines.
• Experience teaching within Higher Education or equivalent environments.
• Understanding of curriculum design, assessment practices, and academic quality assurance.
• Experience leading or coordinating academic delivery or applied practice teams.
• Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
• Commitment to inclusive teaching and delivering an exceptional student experience.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and develop staff members.

Desirable Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience working within OfS regulated environments or HE quality frameworks.
• Industry experience in coaching, athlete development, performance analysis, or applied performance settings.
• Experience supervising applied projects or reflective portfolios.
• Familiarity with performance analysis software, coaching platforms, or data analytics tools.
