Computing Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the North West
Start Date: 2 November 2026
Are you an experienced computing or IT professional looking to pass on your technical expertise and inspire the next generation of digital talent?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider to deliver computing and digital programmes, helping learners build the practical and technical skills they need to progress into further study or employment.
You'll plan and deliver engaging theory and practical sessions, assess learner work and give the feedback that keeps students moving forward throughout their programme.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging computing and digital lessons across a range of levels.
- Planning schemes of work and learning activities that support achievement and progression.
- Assessing learner work and providing timely, constructive feedback.
- Monitoring learner progress and maintaining accurate records.
- Supporting learners academically and pastorally throughout their studies.
- Contributing to curriculum development and the quality of teaching and learning.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Computing, IT or a related technical discipline
- Strong practical and technical knowledge of your subject area
- Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Experience of teaching or assessing in a further education setting
- Industry experience within the digital or technology sector
