Computing Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the South East
Start date: 6 October 2026
Are you a computing professional who would enjoy passing on your expertise to the next generation of digital talent?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the South East, delivering computing to learners and helping them build the technical skills they need to progress into further study or employment.
You'll plan and deliver engaging sessions, assess learner work and track progress, working alongside a supportive team of colleagues.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging computing lessons that support learner achievement and progression.
- Planning schemes of work and learning activities suited to the needs of your group.
- Assessing learner work and providing timely, constructive feedback.
- Monitoring progress and keeping accurate records of attendance and achievement.
- Supporting learners academically and pastorally throughout their programme.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Strong subject knowledge in computing
- Ability to plan, deliver and assess learning effectively
- Good communication and organisational skills
- A genuine interest in supporting learners to succeed
Desirable (but not essential):
- Industry experience in a digital or technology role
- A recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience of teaching in a further education setting
