Chief Wizard Cleaner
Temporary | Contract
About the Role
You'll join a school as Chief Wizard Cleaner, leading the cleaning provision across the site and making sure learners and staff have a clean, safe and welcoming environment to work in.
Working as part of an established team, you'll take responsibility for day-to-day cleaning standards, organise the work of the cleaning staff and make sure tasks are completed to schedule. You'll also be the point of contact for cleaning-related issues as they arise.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supervising the cleaning team on a day-to-day basis.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the site.
- Making sure cleaning equipment and materials are used, stored and handled safely.
- Reporting maintenance issues and any concerns about the condition of the site.
- Contributing to a safe, positive and welcoming environment for learners and staff.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Previous cleaning experience
- The ability to organise your own workload and work to a schedule
- A practical understanding of health and safety when using cleaning products and equipment
- A reliable, thorough approach and attention to detail
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience supervising or leading a small team
- Previous experience working in a school or similar setting
