Temporary | Contract

Are you a Chemistry and Physics teacher looking for your next opportunity within further education?

About the Role

We are recruiting a Chemistry and Physics Teacher to join a further education provider. You'll deliver engaging science lessons across both subjects, supporting learners to build their knowledge, confidence and practical skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering Chemistry and Physics lessons to learners across a range of abilities.
  • Preparing and supervising practical work safely and effectively.
  • Monitoring, assessing and tracking learner progress.
  • Supporting learners to achieve their science qualifications.
  • Adapting your teaching to meet individual learner needs.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the science team.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Strong subject knowledge in both Chemistry and Physics
  • A recognised teaching qualification such as QTS, QTLS, PGCE, Cert Ed or DET
  • Experience teaching Chemistry and/or Physics
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Able to differentiate effectively for individual learner needs

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Experience teaching within a further education setting
  • Experience preparing learners for examinations in science subjects
