Carpentry & Joinery Lecturer – Further Education
Salary: Up to £36,500
Pension: Up to 28.6% employer contribution
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Annual Leave: 50 days inclusive bank holidays
Contract: Permanent
About the Role
Are you an experienced Carpenter or Joiner looking to pass on your skills and inspire the next generation of tradespeople? This is an excellent opportunity to move into a rewarding teaching role within a supportive and well-established FE environment.
The Role
- Teach Carpentry & Joinery programmes from Entry Level to Level 3
- Deliver engaging classroom lessons and practical workshop sessions
- Support curriculum development and employer engagement activities where appropriate
- Develop learning resources and assess learner progress
- Prepare learners for employment, apprenticeships, and further study
Requirements
- A Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Carpentry & Joinery or a related trade
- Industry experience within the carpentry and joinery sector
- Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
- A passion for developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople
