Permanent | Full Time

Location: London

Salary: £36,479 to £45,369 per annum including London Weighting Allowance

Hours: 35 hours per week

About the Role

Our client is an education provider delivering education to over 11,000 learners a year, including 16 to 18-year-olds, adults, apprentices and students with high needs across the London area. Their mission is to provide every learner with the very best knowledge and to break down any barriers to learning.

You'll join the Engineering, Construction, and the Built Environment area as a Multi Skilled Lecturer in Carpentry and Joinery, acting as both course tutor and personal tutor while teaching a variety of occupational units across all levels of programmes.

You'll deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress, and equip learners with the hands-on skills they need to excel in their careers. This is a role for someone who wants to share their knowledge, mentor future tradespeople and make a real impact.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a course tutor and personal tutor to learners across a range of programmes.
  • Teaching a variety of occupational units at all levels.
  • Delivering both multi-trade practical and theory sessions.
  • Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.
  • Providing learners with the hands-on skills needed to succeed in their careers.
  • Mentoring and supporting learners to meet their individual needs and aspirations.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Experience in teaching both multi-trade practical and theory
  • A firm understanding of carpentry and joinery across multiple trades
  • The ability to deliver engaging lessons and assess student progress
  • A genuine commitment to mentoring and developing future tradespeople
  • An Enhanced DBS check
