Are you an experienced CAD professional or Engineering Lecturer looking to pass your technical drawing skills on to the next generation?
About the Role
As a CAD Lecturer with a further education provider, you'll deliver engaging teaching, training and assessment across engineering drawing and computer-aided design programmes, equipping learners with the technical skills they need for a career in modern engineering environments.
You'll bring your industry knowledge into the classroom, teaching learners to interpret and produce technical drawings to industry standards, and adapting your approach so learners at different levels can progress. - Teaching learners how to interpret and produce technical engineering drawings to industry standards.
- Planning and preparing learning materials, schemes of work and lesson plans.
- Assessing learner progress and providing timely, constructive feedback.
- Maintaining accurate learner records in line with awarding body and organisational requirements.
- Embedding current industry practices, software and standards into your teaching.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Qualifications and/or substantial industry experience in CAD and AutoCAD
- Experience producing and interpreting engineering drawings within an engineering environment
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A passion for sharing your knowledge and supporting learner success
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification
- Experience teaching or assessing learners
If you're ready to bring your CAD expertise into the classroom and help shape the next generation of engineers, we'd love to hear from you.
What's on Offer
- Full support to transition into teaching
- Support to gain recognised teaching qualification
