About the role

You'll design, plan, deliver and assess engaging business and IT programmes for a further education provider, combining practical hands-on sessions with the underpinning theory learners need to succeed.

Working across a range of levels, you'll bring your industry experience into the classroom, helping learners build the knowledge, skills and confidence that employers value. You'll create a safe and supportive learning environment, monitor learner progress and adapt your teaching to meet the needs of a diverse group of learners.

If you come from industry rather than teaching, that's welcome. Our client offers support to help you move into education and develop as a lecturer.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, planning, delivering and assessing business and IT programmes across a range of levels.
• Delivering a mix of practical sessions and underpinning theory.
• Monitoring learner progress and providing timely feedback.
• Creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Adapting your teaching to meet the needs of a diverse group of learners.

What we're looking for

Essential:

• Occupational experience in business, IT or a closely related field
• Subject knowledge across a range of levels
• A commitment to supporting learners to achieve

Desirable (but not essential):

• A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
• Previous experience of teaching or assessing in further education
