Lecturer in Business (Accounting and Finance)

Salary – £27,000 – £41,000 per annum Location – West London Contract Type – Permanent; Full-time (36 hours per week)

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Lecturer in Business (Accounting and Finance) to join a dynamic Business School. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching across professional and vocational programmes, helping learners develop the technical skills and knowledge required for successful careers in the digital landscape.

Role Responsibilities

  • Teaching & Delivery: Deliver engaging teaching across a range of programmes, including AAT full-time courses, AAT Apprenticeships, and vocational Business programmes from Level 2 to Level 5.
  • Curriculum Development: Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and resource materials that align with awarding body requirements (Pearson, CIPD, AAT, CMI).
  • Student Support: Act as a named tutor, carrying out academic progress reviews and ensuring students receive effective learning and employability support.
  • Recruitment: Participate in open evenings, interview potential applicants, and contribute to the School's marketing and recruitment strategies.
  • Assessment: Prepare assessment plans and schedules, ensuring student work is marked and tracked in line with college and exam board policies.
  • Quality Assurance: Elicit student feedback, contribute to course reviews, and set targets for achievement, retention, and attendance.

  • Subject Expertise: Extensive subject-based knowledge in Business, Accounting, and Finance.
  • Qualifications: A teaching qualification or a willingness to work towards one (fully funded support provided).
  • Skills: Strong IT and e-learning skills to deliver curriculum effectively in a modern environment.
