BTEC Level 3 PE Teacher
Temporary | Contract
Start date: October 2026
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider to deliver BTec Level 3 Sport, supporting learners to achieve strong outcomes and progress into higher education, apprenticeships or careers in the sport and fitness industry.
You'll teach both theory and practical elements of the programme, assessing coursework and preparing learners for external assessment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging BTec Level 3 PE and Sport lessons.
- Assessing coursework and providing clear, constructive feedback.
- Monitoring learner progress and putting intervention in place where needed.
- Differentiating your teaching to support mixed-ability groups.
- Maintaining a safe, inclusive and motivating learning environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- QTS, QTLS, PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching BTec Sport or PE at Level 3
- Strong subject knowledge across theory and practical delivery
- Confident classroom management and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS, or willingness to obtain one
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience within a further education or sixth form setting
- A track record of strong learner achievement and progression
