BTEC Electrical Engineering Tutor
Temporary | Contract
Start date: 8 December 2026
Are you an experienced electrical engineering professional looking to pass your knowledge on to the next generation of engineers?
About the Role
An education provider is seeking a BTEC Electrical Engineering Tutor to deliver classroom-based teaching at BTEC and HNC level. You'll plan and deliver sessions that build learners' understanding of electrical engineering theory and prepare them for successful completion of their qualifications.
You'll be comfortable developing and using your own teaching materials, and you'll assess learners' work, giving clear and constructive feedback that helps them progress.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering BTEC and HNC level electrical engineering theory sessions.
- Planning lessons and preparing your own teaching and learning materials.
- Marking assignments and coursework, and providing constructive feedback.
- Monitoring learner progress and supporting those at risk of falling behind.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical engineering to BTEC/HNC level
- Ability to prepare and deliver your own teaching materials
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching or assessing qualification
- Previous experience of delivering in a further education or training environment
