Job Description
Brick Lecturer
Temporary
Are you an experienced bricklayer looking to pass your trade skills on to the next generation?
About the Role
An education provider is looking to appoint a Brick Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching across its brickwork provision, with a start date of September 2026.
You'll plan and deliver engaging practical workshop sessions alongside the theory that underpins them, assess learner progress and support students to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours they need to progress into employment within the construction industry.
If you're new to teaching, that's not a barrier. Industry professionals are supported to work towards a recognised teaching qualification while they work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons across a range of brickwork programmes.
- Teaching practical workshop skills alongside the underpinning theory.
- Maintaining a safe, organised and industry-standard workshop environment.
- Assessing learner progress and providing timely, constructive feedback.
- Maintaining accurate records of attendance, achievement and learner outcomes.
- Contributing to curriculum development and quality improvement.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 qualification in brickwork, or equivalent vocational competence
- Strong industry experience in bricklaying and masonry
- Good communication and workshop management skills
- A sound understanding of current industry standards and safe working practices
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience of teaching, assessing or mentoring apprentices
If you're ready to build the next generation of tradespeople, we'd love to hear from you.
What's on Offer
- Support to work towards recognised teaching qualification
