Are you an experienced bricklayer looking to pass your trade on to the next generation of construction professionals?

About the Role

You'll join a further education provider to deliver practical and theory brickwork sessions to learners working towards industry-recognised qualifications.

You'll bring site experience into the workshop and classroom, teaching the bricklaying techniques learners need alongside the professional standards employers expect.

If you're new to teaching, that's no barrier. Industry professionals are supported with teacher training, mentoring and ongoing development.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging practical and theory brickwork sessions.
• Assessing learners' work and tracking their progress towards their qualifications.
• Supporting curriculum development and the day-to-day running of workshop sessions.
• Maintaining safe, industry-standard working practices in the workshop.
• Encouraging learners to build the confidence, professionalism and employability skills the industry asks for.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Substantial vocational experience as a qualified bricklayer
• Level 3 Bricklaying qualification (or equivalent)
• Strong practical and technical knowledge of brickwork and masonry
• Good communication and workshop management skills

Desirable (but not essential):

• A teaching qualification or previous experience of teaching, training or mentoring
• Experience of assessing learners against vocational standards
