Biology Teacher
Contract | Temporary
Start date: November 2026
Are you a Biology Teacher looking for your next opportunity with an education provider?
About the Role
You'll plan and deliver engaging Biology lessons to learners across a range of abilities, adapting your teaching so that every student can access the curriculum and make progress.
You'll monitor and assess learner progress, support students towards their qualifications, and work alongside colleagues and support staff to keep engagement and attendance high.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging Biology lessons.
- Adapting teaching to meet individual learner needs.
- Monitoring, assessing and tracking learner progress.
- Supporting learners to achieve their Biology qualifications.
- Building positive relationships and promoting engagement.
- Supporting positive behaviour, attendance and participation.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Strong Biology subject knowledge
- A recognised teaching qualification such as QTS, QTLS, PGCE, Cert Ed or DET
- Experience teaching Biology
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- The ability to differentiate effectively for individual needs
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience teaching GCSE and/or A Level Biology
