Assistant Trainer
Temporary | Contract
About the Role
You'll join a school as an Assistant Trainer, supporting the training team with the day-to-day care, handling and training of the owls. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you'll help make sure routines are followed consistently and that the birds are handled safely and confidently.
You'll be given the support and guidance you need to settle in quickly.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the day-to-day care and handling of the owls.
- Assisting with training sessions and following established routines.
- Keeping the owls' environment clean, safe and well maintained.
- Reporting any concerns about the welfare of the owls or the condition of the facilities.
- Contributing to a safe, positive and welcoming environment for learners and staff.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A confident, calm approach to handling animals
- The ability to follow routines and work to a schedule
- A practical understanding of health and safety
- A reliable and thorough approach to your work
- The ability to work well as part of a team
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous experience working with birds or animals in a training or care setting
