Apprenticeship Skills Co-ordinator - Technical Construction
Temporary | Contract
Location: the North East
Are you an experienced construction professional looking to pass your trade on to the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the North East, supporting apprentices working towards their technical construction qualifications and their progression in the industry.
You'll deliver training both in the classroom and in a practical setting, plan and assess learning, and work alongside employers to make sure apprentices get the most from their programme.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging and high-quality training across technical construction apprenticeship programmes.
- Planning and preparing lessons, schemes of work and assessment materials.
- Assessing apprentice progress and providing timely, constructive feedback.
- Supporting apprentices to develop their technical skills and employability prospects.
- Working with employers to support apprentices in the workplace.
- Promoting safe, industry-standard working practice at all times.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification in a technical construction trade (or equivalent)
- Industry experience within the construction sector
- Good communication and organisational skills
- An enhanced DBS on the update service
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching or assessing qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience of delivering apprenticeship training
