About the Role

A further education provider in the North West is looking for an Apprenticeship Manager to lead and develop its apprenticeship provision.

You'll provide operational leadership to delivery and support staff, making sure teaching, learning and assessment are consistently strong and that apprentices achieve, progress and move on well. You'll also take a lead on employer relationships, keeping provision closely aligned to industry practice and local skills needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the delivery and development of apprenticeship programmes.
• Line managing, supporting and developing delivery and support staff.
• Maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
• Monitoring retention, achievement and progression, and using the data to drive improvement.
• Ensuring provision meets funding, compliance and quality assurance requirements.
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with employers across the area.
• Planning staffing and resources to deliver provision effectively.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Experience of managing apprenticeship provision, in further education or with a training provider
• Experience of leading, managing and developing a team
• A good understanding of apprenticeship standards, funding and quality assurance
• Confidence using data to monitor performance and improve learner outcomes
• Strong employer engagement and relationship-building skills

Desirable (but not essential):

• A teaching, assessor or internal quality assurance qualification
• Experience of developing new provision in response to employer demand
