Accounting Lecturer

Location: the West Midlands
Salary: From £31,778 per annum
Hours: Full time Monday to Thursday - With evening work included.

About the Role
As an Accounting Lecturer, you'll deliver engaging and well-structured teaching across a range of accounting programmes, helping learners build the knowledge and practical skills they need to progress into further study or employment.
You'll plan lessons, assess learners' work and provide the guidance and encouragement that keeps them on track. Working within a supportive team, you'll create a positive learning environment where students feel motivated to achieve their potential.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering accounting lessons across a range of levels.
- Assessing, marking and giving constructive feedback on learners' work.
- Monitoring learner progress and providing support where needed.
- Maintaining accurate records of attendance and achievement.
- Contributing to the ongoing development of the curriculum.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A relevant accounting qualification or significant professional experience in accounting or finance
- A genuine commitment to supporting learners to succeed
- Strong communication and organisational skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Previous experience of teaching or training
If you come from an accounting background but have not yet taught, that need not hold you back. The provider welcomes industry professionals and offers support to help you move into teaching, including mentoring and ongoing development.
