AAT Lecturer
Temporary
Location: the South East
Start date: October 2026
Are you an experienced accounting professional ready to pass your expertise on to the next generation?
About the Role
As an AAT Lecturer, you'll deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and assessment across AAT programmes at a further education provider, helping learners build the technical knowledge and confidence they need to progress in accountancy.
Working closely with colleagues in the team, you'll act as a personal tutor, promote strong attendance and contribute to the planning, development and review of your subject area.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering effective teaching and assessment across AAT programmes.
- Supporting learners to achieve and progress, both in the classroom and through tutorial support.
- Contributing to curriculum planning, development and review within your subject area.
- Monitoring learner progress and promoting strong attendance and achievement.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A relevant accounting qualification, such as AAT
- Occupational experience in accountancy or finance
- The ability to engage, motivate and support learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience of teaching or assessing in further education
